H.R. 1976
H.R. 1976, the Medicare for All Act of 2021, was introduced by Rep. Pramila Jayapal and Rep. Debbie Dingell in the 117th Congress with 112 original cosponsors, including three Representatives from Oregon: Rep. Earl Blumenauer, Rep. Suzanne Bonamici, and Rep. Peter DeFazio.
The bill will establish the Medicare for All Program to provide all individuals residing in the United States and U.S. territories health care that includes all medically necessary care, such as primary care and prevention, dietary and nutritional therapies, prescription drugs, emergency care, long-term care, mental health services, dental services, and vision care, with no cost sharing.
